This used OEM BMW trunk hatch strut (part 4887652) is a genuine right-side lift support for the X5. Also fits as a replacement for 7332696, 7294588, 7286116, and 7172060. When the strut weakens, the hatch won’t stay open, making loading or access difficult. Designed for multiple engine variants including 3.0L six-cylinder and 4.4L/4.8L V8 gas and diesel models.
