This used OEM BMW trunk hatch strut (OEM 7397322) is the right-side lift support for the rear hatch. Also called a trunk shock or hatch strut, its job is to smoothly lift and hold the hatch open. A worn strut will let the trunk drop or fail to stay up on its own. Removed from a BMW X3 equipped with any of its available 2.0L or 3.0L gasoline or hybrid powertrains.
