This used OEM BMW trunk lid spring (part 7255693) replaces 51247255693 and 7469008 and works on both left and right sides. The spring provides the lifting force to raise and hold the trunk lid open; when it weakens or breaks, the lid may not stay up or will slam shut unexpectedly.
