OEM Audi trunk lid stop, part number 8E5827797A, is a used genuine replacement for the A4, S4, and RS4. This stop, also known as a trunk lid bumper or buffer, replaces the earlier 8E5827797. It mounts on both the left and right sides to cushion the trunk lid when it closes, preventing metal-on-metal contact and reducing wear on the latch assembly. A worn or missing stop can cause a loose-fitting trunk lid or rattling noises over bumps.
