This genuine BMW trunk lid strut/shock (electric) with OEM part number 7232004 is a used electric support for the right side of the X3's power tailgate. Also called an electric trunk lid shock, it controls the automated opening and closing of the rear hatch. When the strut loses gas pressure or its internal electric motor fails, the liftgate may operate slowly, stop mid-cycle, or not respond at all. This part supports several engine options including 2.0L and 3.0L gas and diesel variants.
