It controls powered trunk or liftgate operation, including opening, closing, and latching functions. A common failure symptom is the liftgate failing to respond to the interior button, key fob, or foot gesture, or stopping mid-cycle. This unit was removed from a donor vehicle and requires coding to your specific vehicle/VIN upon installation by a qualified shop or dealer.
