This BMW turbocharger (OEM 7593020, also replaces 7593022) is a used genuine unit originally removed from a donor vehicle. Also called a turbo, it forces compressed air into the 3.0L 2979CC inline-six gas engine to boost power output. When it fails, common symptoms include reduced acceleration, a whining or siren-like noise from the intake, or an illuminated check engine light for underboost.
