This is a used OEM BMW turbocharger, part number 7634486, originally removed from a donor vehicle. It also replaces numbers 11657634486, 11657630462, and 11657635804. This turbo is the engine’s forced-induction unit, compressing intake air to boost power in 2.0L and 3.0L four- and six-cylinder gasoline engines, including the N20 and N55 families. A failing turbo often produces a whistling noise, oil leaks from the charge pipes, or a loss of boost pressure under acceleration.
