This wastegate, also known as the turbocharger wastegate, controls exhaust flow to regulate boost pressure. It replaces several superseded numbers including 078145702R and 078145704S. Failure of this part often results in wastegate rattle, overboost, or underboost conditions on EA825-family 2.7L V6 twin-turbo engines.
