This is the upper section that seals the crankcase and holds the oil supply. A common failure on this EA390-family 3.2L V6 is oil leaks from the gasket or cracks in the pan itself, leading to low oil pressure or drips. Installing this used OEM part restores proper oil containment without the cost of new. Removed from a donor vehicle and tested.
