This upper pan is found on 3.0L V6 engines (including the 3.0T supercharged gas and 3.0 TDI diesel). Also replaces 06E103601BC and 06E103601BH. A cracked or warped upper oil pan can cause oil leaks, low oil pressure, and contamination, so this is a direct structural replacement that restores proper oil containment and return flow to the lower sump.
