This upper oil pan (also called a sump) was removed from a Porsche Macan fitted with any of the 3.0L V6 diesel or 3.6L V6 gas engines. It seals the lower crankcase and collects engine oil; a cracked or warped upper pan commonly causes external oil leaks visible around the engine block.
