This BMW upper spring pad / rubber mount (OEM 6776553, also supersedes 6857006) sits between the coil spring and the chassis to isolate vibration and prevent metal-on-metal contact. Used on left, rear, and right positions, it's a direct replacement for the original rubber isolator. Over time, these pads can crack or compress, leading to a clunking noise over bumps or a harsh ride.
