This used BMW windshield cowl cover, also called a heater panel, carries OEM part number 6979758 and supersedes 6933375. It sits at the base of the windshield, directing outside air into the cabin intake while sealing out debris and moisture. When the cowl cover cracks or its seal degrades, you may notice water entering the engine bay or a musty smell inside the car from trapped leaves and dirt.
