This is a used OEM BMW windshield wiper transmission with motor, part number 7161711, also superseding 4848601 and 4877153. It controls the wiper blade movement and drive on the front windshield. When the transmission fails, the wipers may stop mid-cycle, move erratically, or not respond at all. This unit was removed from a BMW and is a direct replacement for the original assembly.
